Lourse

This is an extraordinary place with a beautiful and long history. Allegedly, Fryderyk Chopin used to come here with his father, Mikołaj. In their time, the confectionery was located on Miodowa Street. Later, the establishment was moved to the former Hotel Europejski. Today, the interior, beautifully and originally designed by the Spanish studio Lazaro Rosa-Violan, takes one's breath away. The initial intention of the project's authors, namely emphasizing the historical detail of the building while simultaneously giving the whole a contemporary character, has been perfectly realized here.

The confectionery charms with its atmosphere. It is exceptionally luxurious yet with imagination and joy. One might say that all the elements of this space work on the observer's eye like a wonderful madness. The combination of creamy architectural elements with copper definitely distinguishes this venue from other confectioneries in Warsaw.

You can immediately fall in love with this dream of lightness and dream of tasting the sweets sold here. The confectioners' concept combines original French recipes with Polish ones. Enjoy the tasting: cream puffs, cheesecakes, éclairs, pralines, and ice creams. The "Signature Cake" will lead you on the trail of traditional flavors probably served many years ago in the Lourse confectionery but still beloved today: chocolate, candied fruits, and nuts. A visit here is a combination of taste and aesthetic pleasure.

Blikle

Describing the panorama of Warsaw's confectionery market, one cannot overlook the Blikle company. The beautiful history of bold and passionate entrepreneurs began as early as 1869. The first shop and café were located on Nowy Świat Street, and from the beginning, emphasis was placed on authenticity, elegance, high-level service, all of which, along with excellent products, contributed to the tremendous success and respect for the company in the eyes of customers.

Despite a tumultuous history, wars, communism, and the period of transformation, thanks to the strength and commitment of successive members of the family business, the brand endures. It has permanently ingrained itself in the consciousness of customers as an essential element of Warsaw's everyday life. From its inception, the place has tempted residents with its splendour, elegance, and talent for creating confectionery masterpieces. It has been attracting the "cream of the crop" of Warsaw since the early 20th century.

Blikle's rose-filled doughnuts with orange peel and glazed icing have become poetry, the essence of elegance and coziness, an indispensable family and holiday dessert, a sign of the quality of time spent. In addition to doughnuts, Blikle has always been renowned for its excellent quality coffee offered in many variations, long before the era when this drink of the gods began to be served in plastic cups outside. Today, only the times have changed, and the confectioneries and their traditional products under the Blikle brand still enjoy the highest quality reputation.

The presentation of the dishes is another stage where the Virgo hosts did not disappoint. Every detail was taken care of, including the spoon and the simply gorgeous ceramics. The creators of the patisserie itself are young people distinguished by their great sense of taste, taste and courage in combining delightful compositions. Unusual combinations of flavours and textures, topped off with perfect yet unpretentious decorations of edible flowers, fruits or nuts, enchant here. A delightful place for a coffee and cake meeting is Kukułka. The confectionery operates as a joint project of Przegryź and Ale Wino, whose founders have dreamed for years of creating a separate space for their creative confectionery adventures and for customers already familiar and friendly, who eagerly explore the new creative space, those experienced in gastronomy. It turned out great. The cozy and simple venue, with its atmosphere and layout reminiscent of its neighbour Przegryź.
