Every year, the International Organ Music Festival "ORGANS OF THE ARCHIKATEDRAS" hosts excellent virtuoso organists from almost all over the world, who ensure the very high artistic level of the event.
The festival concerts take place on consecutive Sundays from 6 July to 21 September 2025 at the Archcathedral Basilica of St John the Baptist (8 Świętojańska Street). The concerts begin at 16:00.
The Warsaw Archcathedral is an ideal place for the presentation of organ music. The reception of musical interpretation here is made up of impressions resulting from the beauty and power of the sound of a modern organ and the atmosphere and sacrum of the church. In the choir of the church, one of Germany's most prominent companies, Eule, built a mechanical organ in 1987. This large 60-voice instrument is an example of outstanding organ-master craftsmanship. The instrument's exceptionally apt design, workmanship, artistic qualities and versatility to present music of all eras justify the organ's inclusion in the best-understood "concert league". Virtuosos from all over the world give concerts on this organ.
