"WICKED" is an American musical with music and lyrics by Stephen Schwartz based on a libretto by Winnie Holzman. The Polish premiere of this title on the ROMA Music Theatre's Big Stage will take place on 5 April 2025. The musical Wicked will be shown in Polish translation in the so-called non-replica version, i.e. one which does not repeat the solutions from the original New York staging.

The Polish cast of the musical Wicked was announced on 21 October 2024 (the names of the producers of the Polish staging were also announced a few days early). The artistic ensemble was selected on the basis of a casting call, which lasted a total of several weeks and was open to all, with around 600 applicants. The auditions of the candidates for several of the most important roles were judged by the musical's composer, Stephen Schwartz, who indicated his preferences. The set design, costumes and translation also had - as usual - to be submitted to the American authors and copyright holders for approval.
