Yoga workshop series: Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga
entitled Breathing and bending
A workshop designed for Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga practitioners.
Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga is a dynamic form of yoga. It consists of performing a fixed sequence of asanas (postures), which is interspersed with vinyasa (a combination of movement and breath). It is a balanced combination of relaxation and strengthening of the whole body.
Breathing and flexing
In the first part of the workshop we will focus on the breath. We will work on relaxation and activation of the respiratory muscles - diaphragm and intercostal muscles. We will then focus on the correct execution of ujjayi breathing.
In the second part of the workshop, we will focus on working on bends in asanas such as head-up dog and bridge. We will do a series of exercises to prepare for safe entry into the bends. Among other things, we will focus on the leg and back muscles that form the "foundation" of the bends (the superficial backbone). We will then work on safely stretching the anterior superficial band. We will also learn about the different variations and modifications of these asanas in order to adapt the postures to the body's possibilities.
Price: single workshop (2,5h) 120pln

Katarzyna Witkoś:
I first came across Ashtanga in 2013 and quite quickly it became my daily practice. Seeing the many positive changes yoga has brought to my life, I wanted to share this tool with others.
I value Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga above all for its discipline and holistic approach to the human being. The repetition of the sequences, for me, is a great opportunity to observe the changes taking place in the body, mind and emotions.
