Warsaw Dance Combo / Anniversary and Birthday Concert

Warsaw Dance Combo / Anniversary and Birthday Concert

We would like to invite you to a concert by the Warsaw Dance Combo, which will take place on the occasion of two anniversaries - the outbreak of the Warsaw Uprising and the group's birthday. We will hear, among other things, pre-war hits and uprising songs.

Invariably for fifteen years, always at the beginning of August, the Warsaw Dance Combo gathers Varsovians for a concert on the anniversary of the outbreak of the Warsaw Uprising. Every year, a growing audience of children, adults and senior citizens comes to listen together to the sounds of old songs that amuse, move and help to remember....

This year we meet under special circumstances - the group is celebrating its 15th anniversary! For the love of the city and music, Warsaw Dance Combo celebrates both anniversaries by paying tribute to Warsaw and its inhabitants. On this occasion, in addition to well-known and beloved songs from albums such as "Przyznaj się", "Sto lat, Panie Staśku" or "Dancing, Salon, Ulica", we will also hear material from the latest album "Pamiętam Twoje oczy", entirely devoted to the Polish tango. Where did you get the idea that the jubilee album should be dedicated specifically to tango? It is a response to the voices of the audience. "Play a tango!" - this request regularly recurs at the band's concerts, because in the opinion of fans, it is the Polish tangos that the band performs best

The Warsaw Dance Combo, led by Jan Emil Młynarski, is a musical and cultural phenomenon. The band's concerts always gather crowds - from children, to families with picnic blankets, to elderly city dwellers for whom the songs sung by the Combo are part of their personal history. The band has been bringing generations together for years, reviving the tradition of street, backyard, cabaret and dance music. Its music - played live on traditional instruments - is more than a sentiment, it is a living story of Warsaw's identity. Jan Emil Młynarski and his friends not only cherish the musical tradition, but also create an amazing atmosphere that transports listeners back in time.

Warsaw Dance Combo will perform with the following line-up: Jan Emil Młynarski - vocals, bandzola, Piotr Zabrodzki - vocals, banjo; Anna Bojara - saw; Karol Szczubełek - guitar; Piotr Domagalski - double bass; Mateusz Wachowiak - harmony; Tomasz Duda - saxophone; Maurycy Idzikowski - trumpet.
