On the anniversary of the victorious Battle of Warsaw 1920, known as the 'Miracle on the Vistula', the 8th Military Picnic will take place at the Sochaczew amphitheatre. The event is attended annually by the inhabitants of Sochaczew and the surrounding area to pay tribute to the Polish soldiers fighting for the freedom and independence of our homeland. This year's Military Picnic will be held under the Honorary Patronage of the Mayor of Sochaczew, Daniel Janiak.

The Polish Army Day picnic is already a tradition in our city. This year it will be held for the eighth time. As every year, the organisers have prepared many attractions for children, young people and seniors alike. We invite you to join in the fun at the Amphitheatre.

The Sochaczew Cultural Centre groups will present themselves on stage - soloists and invited guests of the Song Club led by Jola Kawczyńska and the Patria Uniform Vocal and Instrumental Ensemble under the direction of Arkadiusz Mamcarz. The "Cantabile" Singing Group from GOK Nowa Sucha also accepted the invitation to take part in the concert, as did two talented soloists - Private Aleksandra Pasikowska from the 38th Sochaczew Air Defence Security Squadron named after Major Feliks Kozubowski and Magdalena Ziółkowska.

The picnic will also include interesting thematic lectures on the history of Sochaczew given by Radosław Jarosiński, director of the Museum of the Sochaczew Land and Bzura Battlefields. There will also be competitions, quizzes and animations for the youngest. Children are invited to the creative booth, where SCK instructors will provide plenty of attractions and fun. The youngest picnic participants will be able to spend time actively in the educational and animation zone, where fun will be provided by Paintball Sochaczew, Łucznicy Teresin and EduLAnd.

A display of military equipment and combat vehicles will take place in the area around the amphitheatre. We will see, among others, the Pilica anti-aircraft artillery and missile system, Grom portable anti-aircraft missile sets and the Cyclops training and training device. There will also be the much-loved children's treasure hunt with a metal detector. A fair is also planned, including stands with numismatic items, military orders and uniforms. There will also be something for the body, i.e. a gastronomic zone with, among other things, a Food Track, stands of the Rural Housewives' Circles and stands - Kapral Kucharek and Healthy Snacks.
