An Italian show in Poland!
Knowing the Poles' fondness for Italian song, Monika Mariotti has prepared a recital of her greatest hits, including 'Felicita', 'Mambo Italiano', 'Volare', 'Marina', framed by a witty commentary introducing Italian-Polish cultural contrasts. "Spaghetti Poloneze" is more than an hour of excellent music and fun provided to the audience by the charismatic Monika Mariotti! The artist is accompanied on stage by a band of musicians, which, together with Monica's vivaciousness, creates an atmosphere that can only be achieved at concerts. In the new version of this wonderful show there will be no shortage of surprises and new songs!
The premiere took place during the international monodrama festival United Solo Europe - the only European edition of the world's largest monodrama festival, which originated in New York.
Monika Mariotti is an Italian actress and singer with Polish roots. She made her debut at Rome's Teatro India, but a breakthrough in her career came when she came to Poland and played the role of Mother in the award-winning play The Portnoy Complex based on Philip Roth, directed by Aleksandra Popławska and Adam Sajnuk (WARSAW Theatre). Two years later, she realised her great dream - she played the legendary singer Nina Simone in the musical monodrama 'Moja Nina', directed by Adam Sajnuk (Syrena Theatre). She is a popular series actress - viewers have taken a liking to her comedic emploi in such productions as "Przepis na życie", "Sama słodycz" and "Don't make a scene" (TVN). She also played in the series "Druga szansa" alongside Małgorzata Kożuchowska. She is passionate about distant, solitary expeditions, which she expressed in a travel series on Dzień Dobry TVN. She loves dancing and horseback riding on the endless steppes. She is a polyglot and speaks Polish, Italian, English, Russian, French and German.
