"In The Heights" is a musical by *Lin-Manuel Miranda (music, lyrics) and Quiara Alegría Hudes (libretto)**.

The story is set in Washington Heights, a Latino neighbourhood in New York City, where everyday life is intertwined with dreams of a better life. It is a story full of passion, rhythm and change, told in hot Latin sounds.

The musical debuted in 2005 and hit Broadway in 2008, winning four Tony Awards, including Best Musical. It lived to see a film adaptation in 2021.
