Fourteen years of operation on the Polish music market is a good opportunity to throw a party, and a two-day one at that! During this time, Thin Man Records has released almost a mound or, if you prefer, four mendels of albums by artists from the Polish independent scene. It was in the colours of TMR that bands such as Wczasy, Król or Hoszpital debuted. It was in its quiet bays that the veterans of the indie scene anchored their albums: The Women, Comets or Afrokolektyw. Thin Man Records always focuses on a good melody, a song with lyrics, uniqueness, while not limiting itself by genre. In 2024 alone, they released such diverse long-players as the prog-pop debut of Sun King, the blending Brazilian sunshine and Polish melancholy of Jantar or the indie reggae disc of Muzyka Koń Lata.
The two-day showcase at Hydrozagadka will feature bands from the Thin Man Records stable (and surprises):
- Hoszpital (an indie pop trio in therapy, inspired by the spirit of Citizen G.C.),
- Jantar (bossanova on the beach in Sands, tropical chiaroscuro),
- King Sun (the 70s Skalds torch is burning again, a soft entry into the world of prog-rock),
- Music of the End of Summer (indie rock for the heart, a little forest, a little distortion, heart on hand),
- The Knights (ecstatic synth pop as addictive as The Land of the Mummies),
- Holiday (sour keys, cold guitars that make you feel warmer, start dancing).
