Meeting at the "Józef Chełmoński" exhibition

On the pages of his sketchbooks, Chełmoński noted down figures, animals and landscapes, in a word, all the motifs that interested him. He later included many of them in his paintings. The spontaneous drawings, often repeating the same motif many times, provide a unique insight into Chełmoński's working methods. For conservation reasons, the works on paper shown in the exhibition will be replaced regularly. Each view will be accompanied by a guided tour with Małgorzata Heymer, a curator who researches Chełmoński's drawings in the Cabinet of Prints and Drawings of the MNW.
