The Raveonettes / concert

The Raveonettes are coming back to Poland! One of the biggest sensations in the world of rock coming from Denmark will perform on May 25th in Warsaw's Proxima!

Since forming The Raveonettes, Sune Rose Wagner (guitar, vocals) and Sharin Foo (bass, guitar, vocals) have drawn inspiration from 1950s American rock'n'roll and the surf rock popular in the following decade of the 20th century. The duo's music, however, goes beyond the above-mentioned influences, as it features psychedelic, but also raw guitars, pulsating electronics, and all of this, tinged with dark lyrics sung in harmony, makes up the Danes' unique style. At the beginning of the millennium, alongside The White Stripes, The Hives or The Strokes, they were part of the return of garage rock to the living rooms and inspired many other bands, including, for example, America's Best Coast, The Drums and Dum Dum Girls.

"The Raveonettes are still the coolest kids in Copenhagen," wrote journalist Lucia Odoom in Denmark's largest newspaper Politiken after one of the duo's six sold-out shows in the Danish capital late last year. In the current one, Sune and Sharin will return with new material after an eight-year publishing hiatus. "Pe'ahi 2", the follow-up to the 2014 album "Pe'ahi", will premiere on 25 April, and at the end of the year the duo intend to share the music they are currently working on. This intensive time will be enriched with concerts, and one of them the band will play in Poland - on 25 May in Warsaw's Proxima!
