The Halo Effect returns to Poland as a headliner!
The Swedish group will perform at Progresja in the capital on 9 February - special guests will be Pain, with Bloodred Hourglass as support.
Have you missed The Halo Effect after their recent performances in Poland with Meshuggah? This time, the masters of melody in death metal will perform as the star of the evening. Cybermetal's Pain will play songs from their new album, "I Am" (released on 17 May), while Bloodred Hourglass will reminisce about last year's "How's the Heart?".

"This number has both a pop structure and a riff that is something like a slowed-down Slayer," says The Halo Effect's guitarist Niclas Engelin about the ultra-punchy 'Gateways'. Such an unusual description sums up quite well the freedom with which the Swedish band plays with contrasts. Their melodic death metal is not meant to be melodic for the sake of it, as the band's main goal is to write memorable songs first and foremost. Well, there you go, you hear their song once and then involuntarily hum it. It's all down to the compositional sense developed over years of experience of all the members, they just know exactly what they want to achieve. When they attack with a riff, it is usually heavy and selective at the same time. When a melody jumps into the foreground, it is always epic to the core. All these components are rounded off with a powerful roar by Mikael Stanne. During their concert you will get +10 to metal power, a word!

Pain is ideal for people who want metal, but in a hard-partying form - not goofy, not forcefully ironic, but danceable as hell. Peter Tägtgren's project, whose lyrics deal with, among other things, aliens, criticism of society and psychoactive substances, is able to get everyone going. With its catchy riffs, brilliantly constructed beats and intensely pulsating keyboards, the band's rhythmic stomping on the floor never stops when you combine them. Industrial interjections, cybernetic production and a lot of fun... Isn't that what life is all about?
