Secrets of Marszałkowska Street: Eastern Wall - guided walk

The Warsaw Branch of the PTTK Guides invites you to a tour in the series of "Summer Walks around Warsaw".
The tour will be led by Sylwia Kasprowicz, a licensed guide in Warsaw.

Meeting ul. Marszałkowska, corner of ul Królewska, on the side of Ogród Saski.

Where did the engineer Karwowska from the film 'The Forty-Year-Old' take her sorrows and what was the result?
What do we have left of the remarkable pre-war building of the Russia Insurance Company, topped by a 5-metre-high statue of an electricity genius?
At which ceremony did Jacek Kuroń cut the ribbon and confess that he could do it several times a day?
In what does the Museum of Modern Art resemble chocolate, and why was the Forum Hotel compared to chocolate, and was it not a compliment?
Where did the elegant women of the communist period, looking for attractive outfits modelled on the best Western designs, dress?
How small was the Little Theatre and who made their debut on its stage?
These and other questions will be answered on my tour.
Duration of tour: approx. 2 h 30 min.

Admission: £20 payable at the start of the tour. No upfront payment for the walk is required.
