Event for families with children from 5 to 10 years of age
The year 2025 marks the 220th anniversary of the birth of the famous fairy tale writer Hans Christian Andersen, who very often referred to Middle and Far Eastern cultures in his works.
Using everyday objects such as cups, plates or teapots, and paper cut-outs mastered by Andersen himself, students from the Theatre Academy in Warsaw will retell the well-known fairy tales in the form of improvised theatre.
Each performance will become a space for creative play and collaborative storytelling, where children and parents can explore the magic of ordinary objects and create their own stories. The performances aim to develop imagination, sensitivity to the world around them and the joy of creating theatre together, following in the tradition of Andersen as a master storyteller.
The artistic supervision of the project is provided by the well-known theatre director Jarosław Kilian.
