Sultan Stevenson is one of the fastest rising pianists on the London jazz scene. In 2023 he won the UK Parliamentary Award for 'Best Newcomer' and in 2025 he was nominated for a Jazz FM Award in the Breakthrough Act category.
He trained at the Julian Joseph Jazz Academy, Tomorrow's Warriors and the Guildhall School of Music. He appeared on stage as early as 2020. His debut album Faithful One (2023) brought him performances at Love Supreme Festival and Guinness Cork Jazz Festival. In 2024 he played at SXSW in Texas and Jazzahead in Bremen, which opened doors to European stages including Jazz Jantar in Gdansk, Jamboree in Barcelona and Duc des Lombards in Paris.
He will release his second album, El Roi, on Edition Records in March 2025. The launch concert will take place in the Purcell Room at the Southbank Centre, and the tour will include Jassmine in Warsaw, Jazz Dock in Prague and Unterfahrt in Munich.
