The annual celebration of science in the Ursus district will take place on 24 May in Czechowicki Park. From 10:00 to 15:00, the Fourth Science Picnic and the Fourteenth Educational Festival - events combining science, fun and history - are planned. Participants will be treated to, among other things, a planetarium, a spherical cinema, field games and a mobile environmental education centre. It will be possible to learn about the history of Ursus and see presentations from local schools. The event will culminate with a concert by a young singer, Kuba Szmajkowski.

Science Picnic

During the Science Picnic, participants will be transported to virtual space by watching a film in a mobile spherical cinema, watch robots built from LEGO bricks race on a Mars-like surface and take part in astronomy workshops in the Planetarium. The Mobile Centre for Environmental Education will showcase VR technology and host environmental workshops and quizzes. The park will host an outdoor game with space-themed puzzles and missions, as well as a canvas bag painting workshop. New to this year's event will be an illusionist show combined with workshops.

Educational Festival

This is the 14th edition of the Ursus Festival of Education. Educational institutions from the district will present themselves in the park, which will prepare many attractions for the participants of the event at their stands. The festival will be attended by kindergartens, primary schools, the Rotmistrza Witold Pilecki Secondary School, School Complex No. 42 and Psychological and Pedagogical Clinic No. 15 from the Ursus district.

Final of the "Ursus Local History Week"

As part of the Local History Week, pupils in grades IV-VII learnt about the history of the Ursus district through workshops, meetings and activities conducted by the J.W. Grabski Public Library in the Ursus district, the Culture Houses - 'Miś', 'Portiernia' and 'Kolorowa', the Ursus Identity Chamber and scouts from the ZHP Warsaw Ursus - Włochy Hufce Szczep 50 Mundus.

'Women on tractors' fashion show - register your participation!

Agnieszka Bińczycka from the Portiernia Community Centre will talk about the history and meaning of the slogan, and the catwalk will feature schoolchildren, residents and representatives of cultural institutions in costumes inspired by the workers' style of the communist years. Each participant in period costume will receive a gift.

Concert by a music star

The event will culminate with a concert by Kuba Szmajkowski - finalist of 'The Voice Kids' and winner of 'Your Face Sounds Familiar'. The concert will begin at 14:00.
