Extremely atmospheric electronic duo Polynation will perform on 24 May at the capital's BAR very club!

Amsterdam-based musical duo Polynation are known for their eclectic mix of electronica, ambient and world music. Whether at festivals, club floors or at home, their music, based on an organic sound crystallised through numerous improvisations, draws the listener in for a raw, sensory experience. Juxtaposing melancholic sound progressions and strong rhythms with electro-acoustic textures, the Dutchmen's work is multidimensional, for which the musicians make use of various instruments (e.g. analogue synthesisers, piano, saxophone, kalimba, guitars, bass or drums).

Stijn Hosman and Hessel Stuut, as they are the ones we meet when interacting with Polynation, have been working with the Atomnation label since 2015, under whose wings they have released their 3 EPs and debut longplayer 'Igneous' (2019). The band's compositions have been listened to over 20 million times on Spotify alone, and they have also performed on the stages of festivals such as Best Kept Secret, Wildeburg, Secret Garden, Amsterdam Dance Event and DGTL. Their artistic output closes with the EP 'Bloom', released on the last day of January.
