Karolina Kuśmierz was born on 27 August 2000 in Augustów. At the age of six she started learning piano under the guidance of Anna Borkowska, M.A., at the E. Młynarski Primary Music School in Augustów, then at the State Primary and Secondary Music School in Suwałki, from which she graduated with honours in 2019. She graduated with honours under the direction of Professor Paweł Zawadzki at the Karol Lipiński Academy of Music in Wrocław.

Rapid development of skills and talent in a short time resulted in numerous awards in international and national competitions and festivals, including 1st prize in the Golden Classical Music Awards International Competition in Carnegie Hall in New York, 1st prize in the International Music Competition Salzburg in Austria, Grand Prix in the 4th International Competition "Olimpo Musicale" in Lithuania, 1st prize in the 15th Chopin Piano Festival in Konin-Żychlin and invitation by the Fryderyk Chopin Society in Warsaw to give a recital in Brochów. Chopin Society in Warsaw for a recital in Brochów, 1st place - II Ogólnopolski Konkurs Pianistyczny "Spotkanie z Fryderykiem Chopinem" in Żywiec, 1st place - VII Międzynarodowy Konkurs im. Janina Garścia in Stalowa Wola, 1st prize and a special prize for the best participant - XI Ogólnopolski Konkurs Miniatur Fortepianowych in Wrocław, 1st prize - 10th International J. Zarębski Music Competition Łomianki - Izabelin - Warszawa, 1st prize - A. Szeluta Piano Festival in Słupsk, Poland. A. Szeluta in Słupca, 1st prize - 4th Theodor Leschetizky Competition for young pianists in Łańcut, 1st prize - 2nd Baroque Music Competition in Ostrołęka, special prize for exceptional artistic qualities - 4th Frankiewicz Piano Festival in Białystok.

She is a scholarship holder of the Młoda Polska (Young Poland) scholarship programme, the Minister of Culture and National Heritage for artistic achievements, the Minister of Culture and National Heritage for artistic achievements for graduates of second-level art schools, the Centre for Artistic Education, the Mayor of the City of Augustów, the Marshal of the Podlaskie Voivodeship in the field of artistic creativity, she received the Award of the City of Suwałki and the Mayor of the City of Augustów in the field of artistic creativity and dissemination of culture, and the Award of the Augustów Poviat Board for special artistic achievements in the field of piano. She improves her skills at numerous master classes. Karolina Kuśmierz has taken part in numerous concerts at, among others, the Royal Castle in Warsaw, Carnegie Hall in New York, Wiener Saal-Mozarteum in Salzburg in Austria, Fryderyk Chopin's Birthplace House in Żelazowa Wola, Fryderyk Chopin Museum in Warsaw, Paderewski Centre in Kąśna Dolna.
