"The Space Between Us" is an exhibition of contrasts and consonances, a dialogue between harmony and chaos, between figure and abstraction, between reality and dream. It is an invitation to look at the human being in different contexts: as a figure embedded in a familiar reality or as a symbol floating in the abstract spaces of the imagination.
"Every person is a microcosm," the artists seem to say. And it is the man-hero of everyday life in Magdalena Lis-Stachyra's work and the catalyst of intuitive visions in Katarzyna Łogińska's work that link these two seemingly disparate worlds.
Both artists boldly operate with colour, using it as a tool to express tension, dynamism and depth of emotion. It is the main medium conveying worlds full of life and movement - both in delicate and harmonious compositions and in intense, expressive juxtapositions. In Magda's paintings we find the warmth and intimacy of interpersonal relationships, in Kasia's we find the madness and dynamism of the subconscious. Colour and space become a narrative tool and a field for the exploration of emotions, imagination and intuition. Together, they build a tension that leads viewers through the exhibition and encourages them to ask themselves universal questions:
Who are we as individuals?
Are we merely observers or creators of the world around us?
What emotions and visions define our reality?
Where does form transform into emotion?
Are reality and vision opposing worlds or complementary elements of one story?
Where does the outer world end and the inner vision begin?
Where the everyday meets the metaphysical?
"The Space Between Us" is an invitation to travel together: from the everyday to the intuitive, from narrative to expression, from the familiar to the unobvious. In the world of both artists, the viewer will find themselves - both in the simplicity of everyday gestures and in the intensity of inner experiences.
We invite you to explore together and immerse yourself in this unique space where a diversity of artistic visions creates harmony, showcasing the richness of the human experience.
