Hungary through the eyes of hungarists - film, music, cuisine, runic script and ghosts
On the Night of the Museums on 17 May 2025 from 4 p.m. to midnight, we cordially invite you to the Liszt Institute - Hungarian Cultural Institute for an encounter with Hungarian culture co-organised with the staff and students of the UW Department of Hungarian Studies.
On the programme: a screening of Hungarian films for children and adults, a short Hungarian language course including Hungarian polite phrases and numerals, a presentation of Hungarian cuisine and music, as well as a Hungarian runic script workshop and a Hungarian knowledge quiz. The event will conclude with a lecture on the ghosts of Hungarian castles.

Museums Night is a magical night when Warsaw turns into a cultural capital since 2004! On 17 May, more than 300 places - from galleries to secret archives - invite you to visit for free. Every year, around 300,000 Varsovians and guests visit museums, galleries and places that are not normally accessible for free.
