Magdalena Este - chairing the meeting, piano; Jacek Namysłowski - trombone
No jazz without the trombone! One of the most important instruments in a jazz big band, having a distinctive moving element. The English name Trombone is derived from the Italian trombone, meaning 'great trumpet'. The instrument originated in the 13th century, although the form from which modern instruments are directly derived was probably given to it in the 15th century.
