Despite being a modern country, much of Australia is still a mystery. A country the size of Europe, with most of its 25 million citizens living on the east coast. A country where many things are the greatest, from the largest coral reef in the world to the largest number of venomous snakes.
The country home to the oldest community in the world according to some at 65,000 years old, and we are talking about the Aborigines with their rich culture and difficult past. All of this creates the mix today called Australia.
"This was my first trip of this size. It started in March 2013 and ended at the beginning of January 2014. There were 15 countries to cross, including: Iran, Pakistan, India, Indonesia East Timor. A beautiful nine-month journey that began to shape my world view, outlook and travel ethic.
During those few months I travelled 30,000 kilometres, met many wonderful people, opened up to others, visited places from the covers of magazines and those that the ordinary tourist does not get to.
I saw that the world is a place worth exploring and that people are still open to others. My Yamaha, although aged (a 1990 Tenere 600), performed phenomenally and carried me bravely, only causing trouble once. For sentimental reasons, it has stayed with me to this day."
