A moving documentary about Prof Andrzej Kulakowski, one of Poland's most eminent oncological surgeons. His life and career exemplify extraordinary dedication to medicine, science and patients. The film tells the story of a man who devoted himself entirely to the fight against cancer - one of the greatest challenges of modern medicine. During his 55-year career, the professor performed thousands of complex, life-saving operations. He was a pioneer in many fields of surgery, a respected authority and a mentor to successive generations of doctors. His commitment and care for his patients commanded universal respect. In recognition of his merits, in 2020 he was awarded the Order of the White Eagle by the President of the Republic of Poland. After the film screening, Professor Andrzej Kulakowski will share his memories and reflections on his many years of work, the challenges of oncological surgery and the changes that have taken place in this field over the years. In turn, Andrzej Machnowski will talk about the behind-the-scenes of the making of the film.
