This is not the first time Marta Zalewska has tackled the classics. After Mickiewicz and Kochanowski, this time the artist reached for the baroque, mystical poetry of Johannes Scheffler known as Angelus Silesius (Angel of Silesia), an artist who was an inspiration for generations of eminent poets and thinkers.

The repertoire of the concert includes Marta Zalewska's compositions to the words of Angelus Silesius translated by Marcin Brykczyński, Jerzy Prokopiuk and Andrzej Lam - the artistic concept was prepared especially for the Wrocław Year of Angelus Silesius. The works were presented live for the first time as part of the 'Summer with Angelus at the Ossolineum' project during a concert in the Ossolineum's courtyard in July 2024.

Marta Zalewska decided to combine the sound of old instruments and folk aesthetics with jazz, rock and blues influences. The invitation to join the project was accepted by fantastic musicians Łukasz Poprawski, Krzysztof Zagajewski, Maciej Papalski, Marek Lipski and Patrycja Betley - artists coming from different musical worlds.
