Maria Korecka-Soszkowska.
She graduated with honours from the Academy of Music in Kraków and the Academy of Music and Art in Vienna. She studied with eminent pedagogues, Prof. Henryk Sztompka and Prof. Dieter Weber. She is a laureate of national and international competitions and festivals, among others: in St. Moritz she won the first prize "Moderne Klaviertechnik", in Santiago de Compostella - first prize for her interpretation of Spanish music Premio Jose Ruiz Morales, second prize in the music competition named after Ignacy Jan Paderewski.
Maria Korecka-Soszkowska's piano activities include concerts and recordings for radio and television. She has given concerts in most European countries as a soloist and accompanied by symphony orchestras. She has also performed in Africa, America and Asia.
As a pedagogue, she was a professor of piano at Bilkent University in Turkey from 1988 to 1990, and is currently a professor at the Academy of Music in Łódź, where she teaches the main piano class. As a juror, Maria Korecka-Soszkowska participates in national and international competitions.
The pianist's repertoire consists of twenty-five symphonic concerts and more than a dozen recitals, a rich selection of Polish, German, French, Spanish, Russian and other music, and includes composers of all eras, from baroque to contemporary.
The artist regularly performs at public Chopin concerts in Warsaw and in Żelazowa Wola.

The "Fryderyk" Concert Hall is a place of intimate meetings with the music of Fryderyk Chopin, in the style of 19th century salon meetings. Here, in the heart of Warsaw's Old Town, you will spend an unforgettable time in one of the most beautiful concert halls. A magnificent Steinway grand piano, crystal chandeliers, mirrors, beautiful stuccowork and an atmosphere of unforced elegance, as well as performances by superb pianists, will make you want to return here.
The concert is a two-part recital lasting approximately 60 minutes, based on the idea of salon music gatherings popular in the 19th century. During the interval of the concert, guests are treated to a glass of sparkling wine. The concert is performed by extraordinary pianists whose names are known throughout Europe and the world - professors of the University of Music in Warsaw and winners of international piano competitions, graduates of prestigious music academies: Joanna Ławrynowicz, Anna Kubicz, Maciej Poliszewski, Maria Korecka-Soszkowska, Robert Skiera, Kayo Nishimizu.
The programme will include his most famous compositions. We will hear, among others, the Etude in C minor, Op. 10 No. 12, called the Revolutionary, the Polonaise in A flat major, Op. 53, the so-called 'Heroic', and the Prelude in D flat major, Op. 28, No. 16, called the Rain Prelude.
