Marcin Masecki with his album 'Boleros y más' at Jassmine!

Latin American musical culture is ever-present in Marcin Masecki's life. On his latest album, in the format of a classical piano trio, the artist plays and sings for you a set of favourite Mexican boleros, Venezuelan waltzes, Brazilian choro and Argentine tangos.

Marcin Masecki spent his childhood in Popayan, a small town in the foothills of the Andes in Colombia. Later, while studying in Boston, he met Candelaria Saenz Valiente, a girl from Buenos Aires. They got married. Half a century earlier, Masecki's grandparents had met in Buenos Aires - his grandmother was the daughter of the director of the Bank of Poland, and his grandfather had been forced out by the Second World War.
