LYRRE & Weljar & Dvarga concert
On this night, echoes of ancient legends will mesh with the power of heavy and dark sounds.
Dvarga will awaken the evening, forge folk in steel and fire, and as the dwarven hymns and hammers fall silent....
Weljar will take over the stage with his dark Ritual. The three witches will raise songs into the night sky that even the forgotten gods will hear, but when the incantations pass away leaving only an aftertaste on their lips....
LYRRE will spread a majestic aura of melancholy and elation with their sounds. The hurdy-gurdy and heavy guitar riffs will combine into symphonic and folk tales known from myths and legends.
LYRRE:
LYRRE, formed by Michalina Malisz (ex-Eluveitie) and Piotr Martus, combines the organic sound of the hurdy-gurdy with metal and electronic influences in the form of richly orchestrated productions. With modern songwriting and collaborations with artists such as Noah Sebastian of Bad Omens (in a co-producing role), the band's debut album 'Not All Who Dream Are Asleep', released in March 2023, won the hearts of fans of a variety of genres, from symphonic metal to power, folk and even prog metal.
Weljar:
We sang songs as we sowed.
We sang songs as we baked bread.
We sang songs as we hunted.
We sang songs as we celebrated.
Songs were sung when we were born and when we left.
When the day was long and when the night was long.
The old songs have been forgotten.
We are writing new ones.
Weljar is a project inspired by pre-Slavic times and shamanism, which was born out of a longing for closeness to nature and the primal force inherent in it. We create melancholic music on the borderline of folk and ambient.
Dvarga:
Dvarga is a band that formed in 2021 and specialises in the unique genre of dwarven heavy fantasy folk.
The Dvargs are a band of dwarven miners who, in their spare time after the hard grind in the mines, wish to share joyful music with their audiences. Their work is a combination of heavy melodic guitars with elements of traditional folk music, inspired by folk culture and dwarven mythology from various fantastic universes. The characters playing in the band - Grimm Grimo Modan, Erglis the Turmaline, Nadar the Craftsman, Bardin the Dark Axe, Fulgur the Blacksmith and Ug-Drüm Svamfodh come from the magical world of Dvarga, or more precisely from the capital of this mythical place - Argnav-yal.
Despite their short existence, the band has quickly gained recognition among fans of the folk metal scene for their originality and energetic performances. In June, the project released its first music video and they are getting ready to release a longplayer.
The Dwarf Crew performs songs about magical adventures, Dwarf hooliganism, dragons, sorcerers and Elves, but also love songs in a truly "bearded" style!
