LITERARY ORBIT: Reading Party #meeting 7

Reading parties are a series of guest reading events designed to help people get together to read together. The concept originated in the flat of one of four friends (Ben Bradbury, Charlotte Jackson, John Lifrieri and Tom Worcester) in New York. It was immediately noticed and appreciated. In America, reading parties are extremely popular. They are held periodically in a variety of locations (rooftops, parks, atmospheric pubs) at the most unusual times. Tickets sell out in a flash and there are endless waiting lists.

As part of the Orbita Literacka Reading Party, we will sit down together in Elektra's cosy space to immerse ourselves in our readings with Jagoda Gawliczek (host of the Orbita Literacka podcast) and a cup of freshly brewed coffee or tea. You can bring your own book or use the collection available on site - the decision is yours. We read quietly while listening to music in the background from the extensive record library that is an integral part of the reading room. Every person is welcome in this community of literature lovers.

Jagoda Gawliczek (@ohsotychonic) - hosts the programme/podcast Literary Orbit, where she meets people who share her love of reading. Subsequent episodes premiere on Fridays on Radio Capital and are available on streaming services (Spotify, YouTube, Apple Podcasts, Google Podcasts) the day after. By day, Jagoda works at Going. where she is the leader of the creative department and editor of the magazine "Going. MORE'. She has also published her writings - on various forms of culture - in 'Visions', 'Vogue', 'Biweekly', 'Grls ROOM' and 'Szajn'.
