Lisa Gerrard and Irish songwriter Jules Maxwell announce a short European tour in early 2025 to promote their album 'BURN'.

Gerrard and Maxwell first worked together in 2012 during Dead Can Dance's Anastasis world tour, and subsequently wrote songs for Joachim Witt and Le Mystère des Voix Bulgares.

The album 'BURN' was five years in the making in collaboration with English producer James Chapman (MAPS) and will be released in 2021.

This series of concerts is a rare opportunity to hear the 'BURN' album live.

Prior to this, Gerrard and Maxwell had only performed eight times; a seven-date tour of Portugal in 2022 and a sold-out show in Lodz, Poland in July 2023.

A live album entitled 'ONE NIGHT IN PORTO', recorded during one of the Portuguese performances, was released by Atlantic Curve in June 2023.

BURN's performance is a sonically immense and visually stunning experience. The album consists of seven tracks accompanied by seven specially commissioned videos. Jules Maxwell will perform his ambient album 'CYCLES' as part of the opening set.

Two of the films on BURN were directed by Polish filmmakers Jakub Chełkowski and Michał Sosna. The other five were created by English animator David Daniels, who has previously worked with Led Zeppelin, The Blue Nile and Bryan Adams.

Lisa Gerrard is a founding member of the Australian band DEAD CAN DANCE. She received a Golden Globe for co-writing the soundtrack to Ridley Scott's GLADIATOR. She has collaborated with Hans Zimmer on many other soundtracks, most recently for DUNE. She has also composed soundtracks for WHALE RIDER, THE INSIDER and ALI.

Jules Maxwell is an Irish composer whose works have been performed at the National Theatre and Shakespeare's Globe in London. His debut full-length opera The Lost Thing was presented at the Royal Opera House in London in 2019. He has collaborated with a number of singers including Foy Vance, Melanie Pappenheim and most recently with Portuguese fado singer Lina_.
