New album, new sound, new quality. Leprous in Poland again.
They are back with their new album 'Atonement' and will perform at the capital's Progresja on 1 February. On top of that, they've announced that the upcoming album (due out on 30 August) will be heavier than a couple of its predecessors. Yes, prog-metal lovers, you read that right - great news, isn't it?
Do you know how many times Leprous have played in Poland? 21. Needless to say, between their first visit in 2010 and their last at Mystic Festival 2024, the band changed beyond recognition. Some of the most important players in progressive metal have fully developed their own style, perfected it, then moved away from metal in different directions to once again show who's boss. The title single promoting 'Atonement' is sheer delicacy, and it will be much the same in concert - by the way, you probably already know that anyway.
LEPROUS (Norway) progressive metal, progressive rock.
Who would have thought that a project by two friends from tiny Notodden would become a genre benchmark for years to come? Leprous practice a progressive formula, dictating trends, not following them. They focus on emotion, not flashiness. Whether on the groundbreaking 'The Congregation', the fan-loved 'Bilateral' or any of their later albums, they are unique in their craft.
