How is it that a child is sometimes more mature and insightful than many adults? How is it that adults often turn out to be helpless in the face of the issues they should be facing? Korczak addresses the tale of a little boy who had no time to play because he had to rule a country as much to children as to adults. And he treats them with equal seriousness. He poses questions about justice, honesty and tolerance towards others. These questions, recalled years later on stage, sound extremely contemporary.
