Julia Pietrucha has made a name for herself as a series and film actress. In April 2016, she self-released her debut album Parsley inspired by several months of travel in Asia. The album presents 15 original songs in a balladic pop atmosphere, with elements of folk and leading ukelele sounds. The project was created in collaboration with close friends and the artwork was created by set designer Ian Down. The entire first run of the album sold out and was among the most popular on iTunes. The album itself received very good critical acclaim. The debut was characterised as surprising and thrilling. In 2016, Pietrucha was invited to the Open'er Festival stage, where she was enthusiastically received by an audience of over a thousand. In the following, days, the single, On My Own, promoting the album Parsley, reached a high position on the Polish Radio Programme 3's Chart of Hits. On 17 July 2016, Julia played a concert at the Agnieszka Osiecka Music Studio of Polish Radio. Dawid Podsiadło was a special guest during the musical evening.
Julia's second solo album 'Postcards From The Seaside' is released on 9 March 2018. These are new compositions, at times smeared with a wintry seaside wind, enriched with stronger sounds, interspersed with delicate ballads. Folk melodies, at times tinged with electronic elements. The atmosphere, however, remains acoustic, and the subtle sounds of the ukulele are combined with the trombone, among others, at times giving the album a Balkan flair.
