American jazz guru Kamasi Washington will perform at the Royal Baths!
Kamasi Washington is one of today's most creative musicians, known for his ability to combine jazz, funk, spirituals and avant-garde experimentation.
He has worked with stars such as Wayne Shorter, Kendrick Lamar, Childish Gambino, St. Vincent, Snoop Dogg, Florence + the Machine and Herbie Hancock - with whom he is curating the Hollywood Bowl Jazz Fest for the second year running.
In 2020, Washington composed the music for the documentary 'Becoming', for which he received Emmy and Grammy nominations. In the same year, he co-founded the supergroup Dinner Party, and their mini-album 'Dinner Party (Dessert)' earned a Grammy nomination for Best Progressive R&B Album. Known for his albums 'The Epic', 'Harmony of Difference', 'Heaven and Earth' and 'Sobremesa', Washington has created music that delights audiences around the world - including prestigious concert halls such as Carnegie Hall and the Royal Albert Hall.
On 10 July 2025, Kamasi Washington will present his new project 'Fearless Movement' in Warsaw, Poland.
