IRON MAIDEN will kick off its RUN FOR YOUR LIVES WORLD TOUR on 27 May in Budapest, before playing 27 shows at stadiums, festivals and arenas across Europe. The tour commemorates 50 years since Steven Harris founded the band at the end of 1975, and Maiden fans can expect a unique set of songs spanning nine studio albums - from 'Iron Maiden' to 'Fear Of The Dark' with the most spectacular and polished show they have ever put on!
Vocalist Bruce Dickinson assures: "Next year is going to be a special year for Iron Maiden and we want to give our fans an unforgettable live experience. This is a tour that will put a smile on your face and a cheer in your throat. If you've seen us before, get ready for a whole new level of experience. If you've never seen us before, what are you waiting for? Now is your chance to see what you've been missing! Iron Maiden will thrill you!"
Manager Rod Smallwood added: "50 years of Maiden, and I've been with them for 46 years! We've sold over 100 million albums, played almost 2,500 shows in 64 countries for millions of fans, and yet we still love every moment and treat every tour as a new challenge to offer something unique and exciting to the fans. And on this special tour we will give it our all!
We will be playing classics and fan-loved songs from our first nine albums, from 'IRON MAIDEN' to 'FEAR OF THE DARK'; many of which have not been played in years and many of which we will probably never play again. We've been working on this show for months, creating an even more spectacular and polished show that will bring the songs to life more than ever before. It's going to be a huge two years for Iron Maiden and of course for Eddie, and we're excited about what we have in store for fans throughout our 50th year. I promise you will all be very pleased!"
