Second Warsaw Classics Festival - Day 1

Second Warsaw Classics Festival - Day 1

We invite you to classical music concerts to be held as part of the Warsaw Classics Festival as a cultural event of the Polish Presidency of the EU Council. Outstanding artists from Poland and abroad will perform, presenting repertoire drawn from Europe's cultural heritage.

Musicians from Poland, Italy, Greece, Japan and Switzerland have been involved in the event. The first of the concerts at the Royal Theatre will mark the 275th anniversary of Johann Sebastian Bach's death. The second recital will be filled with chamber music masterpieces by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Ernest Chausson. The festival will conclude with a concert at the Palace on the Isle, during which we will hear Antonio Vivaldi's 'Four Seasons'. They will be performed by a young Italian violinist from Naples, Riccardo Zamuner, accompanied by a chamber orchestra of students from the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw, conducted by concertmistress of the Basel Symphony Orchestra, Marta Kowalczyk, and conductor Daniel Palmizio.
