We would like to invite you to a unique concert of the group Hajda Banda / Гайда Банда! It is a Belarusian-Polish formation known for performing traditional dance and vocal repertoire from Podlasie, Western Belarus and Polesie. Their music transports listeners back in time, evoking the spirit of old traditions.
About the band: Hajda Banda was formed on the initiative of Minsk-born violinist Daria Butska as part of the "Gaude Polonia" scholarship of the National Centre of Culture, which she is implementing. The band's debut album, "Hajda!", released on 24 February 2023, won 3rd place in the Folk Phonogram of the Year competition and in the Wirtu@lne Gęśle plebiscite. Based in Warsaw, Krakow and Bialystok, the musicians are the winners of the 3rd place, the Audience Award and the Mieczysław Karłowicz Philharmonic Award in Szczecin during the XXIV Polish Radio Folk Festival "Nowa Tradycja", and they also develop their craft within such bands and projects as Duality, Swada x Niczos, Orkiestra Taneczna Bonanza and Kapela Ozimkowicza.
