"Give me a bite"
screenplay and direction: Marta Parzychowska
Four young men come together on stage to discuss the fears, obsessions, desires, and experiences of alienation experienced by modern man. Their meeting becomes an attempt to build a community—a fragile, fleeting one, forged in the here and now.
The play examines the tensions inherent in contemporary masculinity with humor and directness, while also posing questions about the possibility of true togetherness.
The characters search for ways to coexist between competition and solidarity, closeness and withdrawal, autonomy and the need to belong.
Balancing between the characters they create and their own presence on stage, the actors invite the audience to reflect on whether it is possible to build authentic relationships in the modern world.
The performance was created as part of the Off Programme of the 45th Stage Song Review in Wrocław and was awarded the 3rd Prize at the 51st Tychy Theatre Meetings.
The performance is a production of the Anonymous Actors Club – a foundation founded by graduates of the Acting Department of the Academy of Theatre Arts in Wrocław.
