"Men's Conversations" is a series of portraits that Zbigniew Furman has created over the years. At first - on the negative, later digitally, but always in black and white. What is important here is not so much the consistency as the focus he has achieved through this. For each portrait subject - one roll, no more. A maximum of 12 frames or very few digital files. There are almost always eyes, or at least one. Or a gesture, or an object. Something distinctive. Something that is created between the photographer and the portrayed. Because it is these encounters that are most important. Short or long, with an old acquaintance or someone known in general. Each completely different.
"Men's Conversations" was complemented by a series of self-portraits photographed with a phone, in a kind of humorous, lighter form of the author's conversations with himself. - Joanna Kinowska
