The exhibition describes sedimentation environments, associated sedimentary and biogenic structures. Sedimentation is the process of mechanical, chemical or biochemical deposition of various types of sediments on the surface of the earth's crust. These can be rock crumbs of various sizes and/or organic debris. The accumulating rock material is initially loose and loose or soft and plastic. Over time, under favourable conditions, it hardens and transforms into solid rock. The transformations that take place in rocks during their deposition or after their formation as a result of the pressure of the overlying layers and the circulation of water and chemical solutions within them, taking place at not very high temperatures, are called diagenesis.
