Teresa Pięcek.
She has been weaving since 1990, when she completed a course in artistic weaving under the direction of the artist Bogumiła Dąbrowska. She has been associated with the Artistic Weaving Workshop of the "Włochy" Cultural Centre for many years and decided to develop her passion here.
She participated in many exhibitions where she won numerous prizes and awards. She was a member of the Warsaw Society of Artists, where she earned a certificate in artistic weaving.
In 2013, she was awarded the Badge of Honour 'Distinguished for Polish Culture' by the Minister of Culture and National Heritage. One of her works is in the Wola Museum in Warsaw.
Ms Teresa's passions also include easel painting, collages and, more recently, beading. She has a collection of over 200 bracelets made using the beading technique.
She is an author of books on manual creativity and handicrafts.
She is a member of the Okęcie University of the Third Age.

Tapestry weaving is a way for her to spend her time in retirement. She came to the studio 20 years ago as a student at the Okęcie University of the Third Age, where she learned how to "paint" with wool.
Her tapestries are distinguished by their exquisite painterly qualities and superb workmanship.
She actively participates in art textile exhibitions, where she has won numerous prizes and awards.
She is also passionate about other creative fields such as painting, embroidery, macramé and beadwork.
She continues to actively participate and is an active member of the Okęk University of the Third Age.
