The long-awaited permanent exhibition, The History of Legionowo 1877-1990, was opened in the pavilion at 23 A. Mickiewicza St. on 14 May on Museums' Night. Visitors can see many unique exhibits - testimonies of times gone by. A total of 363 artefacts were presented at the exhibition. The items come primarily from the collections of the Historical Museum in Legionowo, from private individuals and on loan. The exhibition was created thanks to funds obtained by the Municipality as part of the ROP.
The exhibition will feature the most important monuments showing the history of the city. It presents issues related to the beginnings of the town - especially the town-forming factors (the construction of the Vistula Railway, the functioning of the summer resort Gucin, the development of the garrison and the operation of the "Jabłonna" glassworks). In 1919, General Boleslaw Roja gave Jabłonna barracks the name "Legionowo", in reference to the legionary deed.
