"In this exhibition, I present paintings that are inspired by nature but are close to abstraction. The paintings are dominated by lines, colour fields and marks. Each of them has arisen from a personal 'visual infatuation' that has stuck with me.
I don't paint from nature and I don't paint from photographs. This is not representational painting. Technical mastery does not interest me. I call it 'process painting'. It is a constant adventure for me, a field to search for my own language of forms."
