Once again in Warsaw it will be possible to see up close the largest mobile railway mock-up in Poland and one of the largest in Europe. The Great Railway Mock-up is waiting for model-making enthusiasts from 10 September at PGE Narodowe.
PGE Narodowy will be filled with the sounds of speeding trains, traversing hundreds of metres of winding tracks, bridges, endless tunnels and scenes from the daily life of the local community. Each visitor will be able to go on a unique, interactive journey and experience an unforgettable adventure on over 1,000sqm of awe-inspiring model railway exhibition.
In addition to the miniature railway network, the creators of Makieta City have also mapped the terrain of Lower Silesia, which in the past was one of the best-connected regions on the map of Poland. Going on a long journey, small and medium-sized railway stations with dozens of heavy locomotives and trains, sidings, factories, loading ramps, farms and even industrial plants await the participants of the exhibition. The lush forests, the large shrubs growing on the hills and the clear waters of the lakes, where the locals relax carefree, will complete this (un)everyday picture. The mock-up, connected by 14 km of cables, will enable visitors to, thanks to computer control and interactive functions, start up a funfair, call the fire brigade for help or feed the hens at the village inn, among other things.
