Podczas spaceru z opowiadaczką Muzeum Pragi, Kasią Szatanek, przyjrzymy się, jak woda (rzeka, rozlewiska i systemy hydrotechniczne) wpływały na historię, rozwój i tożsamość praskiej części Warszawy.

Wędrówkę rozpoczniemy na terenach dawnych łęgów warszawskich. To one od wieków kształtowały krajobraz i życie mieszkańców prawego brzegu Wisły. Odwiedzimy historyczne mosty łączące Pragę z lewobrzeżną Warszawą, tereny dawnego Portu Praskiego, który miał stać się nowoczesnym centrum handlu i transportu. Dowiemy się też, dlaczego wodociągi i kanalizacja dotarła na Pragę tak późno. Nie zabraknie również wątków przyrodniczych. Spacer jest częścią dwuletniego projektu realizowanego z wolontariuszami.

Every year in September, the inhabitants of the Old Continent can visit the most interesting monuments in their area free of charge and enjoy a wide range of cultural and educational events. During the European Heritage Days, even normally inaccessible monuments let visitors into their walls, and participants in numerous meetings, lectures and workshops learn about national, regional and local history and culture.

Poland will join a unique celebration of culture and history for the 33rd time. This year's edition will be held under the motto 'Towards Architecture. Young Heritage', which directs our attention towards architectural heritage - both historical and contemporary, often still underestimated.
