Edyta Geppert and Janek Pentz
present the "Intimate World"
Edyta Geppert is an artist who needs no introduction. Her work cannot be contained within a single musical genre. As she puts it, she performs a literary song, i.e. one whose value lies primarily in the lyrics. She is the only Polish artist to have been awarded the Grand Prix at the Opole Festival of Polish Songs four times.
The singer is known for building her repertoire with great care. Her precisely directed recitals are a rare opportunity to hear real pearls of Polish literary song. Among the lyricists we find: Magda Czapińska, Agnieszka Osiecka, Jacek Cygan, Marek Dagnan, Jerzy Ficowski, Jonasz Kofta, Wojciech Młynarski, Andrzej Poniedzielski, Jan Kazimierz Siwek , and among the composers: Henryk Alber, Włodzimierz Korcz, Seweryn Krajewski, Andrzej Rybiński. Many songs from Edyta Geppert's repertoire have stood the test of time and have become evergreens. From these simple, melodic, small verbal and musical forms, the artist brings out great emotions, which are transmitted to the audience. "Oh life, I love you above life", "Jaka róża, taki cierń" or "Nie żałuję" - these are among many of the artist's best-known songs.
Janek Pentz is, as he defines himself, an acoustic fingerstyle guitarist and composer. Despite his young age, he has already given concerts in Germany, the UK, Italy, Latvia, Finland, Austria, Belgium, the Netherlands and the Vatican. In 2022, he won the HASPA Guitar Cup in Hamburg.
The joint concert by these two artists, the result of their two-year collaboration, is an opportunity to experience extraordinary emotions that only a few truly talented artists can provide.
