We would like to invite you to the State Ethnographic Museum in Warsaw for the Easter Fair,

The stalls will feature wooden Easter eggs, palms, spiders, tablecloths, wicker baskets, cut-outs, straw decorations, Stryszaw toys, as well as jewellery, ceramics, hand-knitted clothes or elements of interior design. The Easter Fair is an extraordinary opportunity to buy gifts and decorations created by women creators and artists from Poland, Ukraine and beyond.

The Easter Fair at the State Ethnographic Museum in Warsaw was the first and only such event in the capital in the 1990s. Nowadays, there are many similar events, yet a trip to the Museum to buy presents has become a tradition for many Varsovians.

For the day of the Easter Fair, we have prepared lots of attractions to celebrate spring and the upcoming holidays together. We are preparing, among other things, workshops (spring songs, Easter egg decorating or painting Stryszaw birds), a field game inspired by the tradition of searching for Easter eggs, as well as musical performances and guided tours of Easter-related sites. The Fair's finale will be a concert by the Dziczka band - the Polish-Ukrainian group will perform songs from Polesie, Podolia and Volhynia, which were once sung to evoke spring and have only been preserved in oral tradition.

Some of the accompanying events (Sing! Greeting Spring, Easter egg decorating and Stryszaw Birds) have limited seating and are ticketed separately at a price of PLN 30/15. The purchase of this ticket entitles you to enter the Fair and participate in all the events that take place within the Easter Fair ticket.

The other events we are organising on the day have no seating limit and are available as part of the Easter Fair ticket (£19/10).
