The main character of the theatre production about plastic will be the famous Doctor Dolittle, a veterinarian sensitive to the welfare of the environment and animals. The novels featuring the doctor have received many interpretations, but none of them have focused on pollution by ubiquitous plastics. The creation of the first Dr Dolittle stories coincided with the beginning of plastic production. At the time, plastic seemed an ideal material; today it is one of the biggest environmental problems. Nearly a century after the book's publication, the time has come for a story for the 21st century - an environmental performance entitled. "Dr Dolittle's Plastic Circus". The protagonist is forced to work in a circus as a result of personal life turmoil. The new workplace surprises him with many socio-environmental problems that are close to his heart, such as the generation of huge amounts of plastic, the lack of waste segregation or the mistreatment of animals. The show consists of narration, monologues, funny and informative dialogues, vocal numbers, acrobatics and gags performed by mimes.

The performance is educational, cultural, scientific, entertaining and social. Through the artistic performance entitled: "Dr Dolittle's Plastic Circus", we want to achieve effects such as: increasing general ecological awareness, stopping the generation of huge amounts of plastic waste, including single-use packaging, achieving more responsible attitudes in terms of waste management and greater ability to selectively collect waste.
