Think better than you think. DIY invites you: jump into the deep waters of exploring the world - it's the only way you'll learn to swim.
The DIY workshop is a place where all visitors, regardless of age, knowledge and skills, will find that they "think better than they think". At the workbenches, you can take on engineering, scientific and logical challenges on your own with everyday objects - paper, paper clips, balls, rubber bands or sticks. No precise instructions, no grades, no time limits. Everyone has the chance to explore.
We open the glass doors and move from the bustling exhibitions of the Copernicus to a quiet workshop space. We see large solid tables that can be separated to create smaller tables and a more intimate working environment. In front of us is a menu full of experiments. Time to choose a task. Let's try to build a flying structure. Sticks, rubber bands, scissors and pieces of paper appear on the table. We can get started! We don't have exact instructions and we don't know the solution, but we have plenty of time. Everything is entirely in our hands. The result depends on our ingenuity, dexterity and perseverance!
Here we discover something for ourselves - we begin to understand the laws of science, we find that we can think outside the box, we exercise patience, determination, a willingness to take on challenges.
