The legends of thrash metal to play 2 concerts in Poland! Dark Angel will play the cult album 'Darkness Descends' in its entirety, as well as news from the forthcoming 'Extinction Level Event' and other hits from their catalogue on 4 August in Wrocław's Zaklęze Rewiry club and one day later in Warsaw's Proxima.
Dark Angel made their debut in 1985 with the album 'We Have Arrived', but it was with 'Darkness Descends', released a year later, that they made their mark in the annals of metal. The material, which at the time of its release stood out for its then unprecedented aggression, is today seen as one of the most influential albums for death metal. After the release of their fourth, more technical-progressive album Time Does Not Heal in 1991, the band went on hiatus and has since been reactivated twice - in 2002 and in 2013. The band currently consists of Gene Hoglan - legendary drummer, still known for Death, Testament and Strapping Young Lad, among others - guitarist Erik Meyer, vocalist Ron Rinehart, bassist Mike Gonzalez, and 2 years ago they were joined by guitarist Laura Christine, privately married to Hoglan. With this line-up, Dark Angel have recorded their first CD in 34 years, 'Extinction Level Event', which will see the light of day in the second half of this year. Before that, the Americans will play 2 concerts in Poland, which metal fans simply cannot afford to miss!
