The year 2026, designated by the Sejm of the Republic of Poland as the Year of Mieczysław Fogg, is a unique opportunity to celebrate the 125th anniversary of the birth of an artist who has made a lasting mark on the history of Polish music and gained fame as an outstanding promoter of Polish culture worldwide.
The anniversary concert, featuring Mieczysław Fogg's greatest hits, will feature Magdalena Lechowska – an unparalleled performer of Polish tangos on the international stage and recipient of the Mieczysław Fogg Golden Retro Leaf. Raised in Colombia, the vocalist has been successfully reintroducing Polish tango to world stages for years, translating it into Spanish and presenting her own interpretations during concerts at major tango festivals in Poland and abroad, including Spain, Norway, and Germany.
During the concert, you will be able to hear the greatest hits from Mieczysław Fogg's repertoire, interwoven with timeless tangos and waltzes such as "Love Forgives You Everything", "Rebecca", "Golden Chrysanthemums", "It's Worth Getting Drunk" and "La Cumparsita".
